Some high-end network servers do not have reset connectors to facilitate a reset signal. The WDTS circumvents this problem by controlling the power to the PC. The WDTS will work with virtually any PC because it is not bus-dependent. The acknowledge signal is sent through any standard serial port. The WDTS will also detect PC boot-up sequence problems.
